How-To FAN Controller
Description
The BL Pi-Tron CM5 (Board Line) variant is also available with an EMC2301 fan controller which allows the user to connect an small fan to the on-board connector X4. This allows the user to implement active cooling strategies, if the BL Pi-Tron CM5 is placed in control cabinets and tight spaces with very little air flow.
However, only low power fans can be used which consume no more then 0.475 mA @ 5 volts, otherwise the on-board circuitry can be damaged and render the device inoperable.
