Overview

Raspberry Pi is one of the best known embedded Linux computers in the world. Its success began in the maker community, but it has long become an industry favorite. The software pool created and maintained by a highly active community is an ideal basis for creating rapid-prototyping applications, and plenty of how-to videos on project implementation are available.

Based on the popular Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4, Kontron Electronics has developed a solution tailored to your requirements, equipped with numerous industrial interfaces and functions. Touch displays can be connected directly via DSI, LVDS using an adaptor board or HDMI, and 24 V power supply facilitates integration with industry applications.

These features give you a tool for rapid and secure development and testing of your applications. The new Pi-Tron CM4 also boasts a much faster processor and supports up to 8 GB RAM. Via an M.2 slot and a PCIe connection, various modules with the respective interface can be attached. Custom AI solutions can be implemented e.g. by using Google’s Coral AI Chip or high-performance Hailo AI modules.

An FD-enabled CAN-Bus interface guarantees greater efficiency and a higher data transmission rate. Optionally, an LVDS display can be connected via an adapter board, and a Raspberry Pi standard 40-PIN GPIO header is available for expansion.
